Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to take measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. Since the start of the day, 54 combat clashes have been recorded, the General Staff reported in its 4 p.m. update.
In the north of the country, border communities in Chernihiv and Sumy regions came under enemy fire. The attacks targeted Serhiivske, Mykhalchyna-Sloboda, Zarichchia, Kliusy, as well as Bilokopytove and Bunyakyno.
On the Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, four clashes took place, with two still ongoing. Russian forces carried out seven airstrikes, dropping 21 guided bombs, and launched over 80 artillery attacks. On the Southern-Slobozhanske direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three assaults, while five more battles are still underway.
On the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried three times to break through the defense near Kupiansk, with two clashes still ongoing. On the Lyman direction, nine assaults were recorded, six of which continue. On the Siversk direction, defenders repelled two attacks, one battle is still in progress.
On the Toretsk direction, five assaults were reported near Poltavka, Shcherbynivka, and Pleshchiivka. On the Pokrovsk direction, 16 enemy assaults were recorded in the areas of Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Dachne, Novoukrainka, and Novopavlivka. Ukrainian troops have already repelled 14 attacks, with two battles still ongoing.
On the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy tried to advance near Komyshuvakha and Filiia. One assault was repelled, three more continue. On the Orikhiv direction, defenders repelled two attacks, while Russian aviation struck Novopavlivka and Shcherbaky.
On the Huliaipole and Prydniprovsk directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions, although aviation carried out a strike on Antonivka. No significant changes were recorded on other directions.
