On January 2, at around 10:45 a.m., Russian troops attacked the Korabelny district of Kherson using artillery. Several people were wounded.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office. A minibus carrying passengers came under fire, with preliminary reports indicating that five people were injured.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the commission of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the Kherson police, throughout the day, the occupiers targeted settlements in the region with artillery and UAV strikes. The Russians hit Kherson, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Mykilske, Stanislav, Romashkove, Stepanivka, Molodizhne, Bilozerka, Komyshany, Beryslav, Novoberislav, Novoraysk, Chervonyi Mayak, and Zmiivka.
The attacks damaged seven private houses, five apartment buildings, a medical facility, a restaurant, six garages, five cars, gas pipelines, and two outbuildings. Two people were killed, and five others were injured.
