On the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a number of countries have announced new military and financial support packages for Ukraine.

        • The United Kingdom will provide a record 4.5 billion pounds ($5.69 billion) and impose new sanctions on Russia. Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized that Ukraine needs to be strengthened even more to guarantee a lasting peace, not just a pause in this war.
        • Denmark will provide 2 billion Danish kroner (268 million euros): “The money will be used, among other things, for ammunition for Ukrainian soldiers and the development of a brigade-sized Ukrainian force together with the Nordic and Baltic countries,” said Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
        • In 2025, Spain will provide Ukraine with military aid worth 1 billion euros. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez assured that the support would last as long as needed.
        • Sweden will allocate SEK 1.2 billion ($113 million) for air defense systems, including Robot 70 and Tridon Mk2, to help protect against drones and cruise missiles.
        • Finland, through the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine fund, will provide €4.5 million to support Ukraine’s resilience and stability in 2025-2027.
        • Canada will donate 25 LAV III armored vehicles and four F-16 flight simulators, which will arrive in Ukraine in the coming months.

February 24 – The 1,097th day of Ukraine’s resistance to Russia’s full-scale invasion. On the third anniversary of the start of the full-scale aggression, leaders of partner countries meet in Kyiv to discuss peace, security guarantees, and the future of collective security.
