Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to prevent Russian troops from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. The General Staff reported the situation as of 16:00 on November 7.

A total of 138 combat engagements have taken place since the start of the day. Border communities in Sumy region — including Bobylivka, Novovasylivka, Hirky, Bachivsk, Brusky and Ulanove — came under Russian artillery fire.

On the Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, five clashes were recorded, four of which are still ongoing. Russian forces also carried out four airstrikes and conducted nearly 100 artillery attacks.

On the Southern-Slobozhansky axis, battles continue near Vovchansk and Kamianka. On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy launched seven assaults throughout the day.

The heaviest fighting is taking place on the Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk axes. Near Pokrovsk alone, Russian troops attempted 45 assaults — Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 39 of them, with six engagements still ongoing.

On the Dnipro River (Prydniprovskyi) axis, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks near the Antonivskyi Bridge.

The situation across the front remains tense. Combat operations continue.
