A series of drone and missile attacks were reported across several Russian regions overnight into Saturday, according to statements by regional officials.
In Russia’s Udmurtia republic, more than ten people were injured in a drone strike. Regional Health Minister Sergey Bagin said three people were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity — two in moderate condition and one in serious condition. One of the wounded was airlifted by medical helicopter to Izhevsk. Eight others were examined by doctors and released for outpatient treatment.
Earlier, Udmurtia head Alexander Brechalov said Ukrainian drones had attacked “one of the facilities in the republic,” causing damage and injuries. He did not specify the enterprise or the exact location. Russian media reported that the strike targeted the city of Votkinsk and the JSC Votkinsk Plant, a defense manufacturer that produces Topol and Iskander missile systems, as well as components for the Oreshnik system.
The Ukrainian side has not commented on the reported incidents. Flights were temporarily suspended again at Izhevsk airport on Saturday morning.
In the Samara region, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said two “industrial sites” were struck overnight. He stated that no casualties were reported but did not specify which facilities were targeted. Late Friday evening, Fedorishchev had warned of a potential drone attack threat in the region.
Meanwhile, authorities in Russia’s Belgorod region reported another missile strike overnight. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said the city of Belgorod, along with the Belgorodsky and Shebekinsky districts, came under rocket fire twice, allegedly from Ukrainian forces. According to him, the strikes targeted “critical infrastructure in the region.” Emergency crews are expected to assess the damage during daylight hours.
Earlier in February, Belgorod and the surrounding region were repeatedly subjected to missile strikes targeting energy infrastructure, leading to power and heating outages. At the same time, Russia has conducted sustained winter attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid, leaving thousands of apartment buildings in Kyiv and other cities without heating.
