Co-founder of the Prometheus educational platform becomes a Member of Parliament of Ukraine

Ivan Prymachenko, co-founder of the Ukrainian educational platform Prometheus, has become a member of the Ukrainian parliament from the Golos party. His candidacy was confirmed as the next on the party list after Oleh Makarov, who recently passed away.

This was announced by the Central Election Commission of Ukraine on November 6.

According to the CEC, Ivan Prymachenko was elected as a deputy in a nationwide multi-mandate constituency in the order of the party list of the Golos party under No. 24.


Ivan Prymachenko was born in 1990 in Donetsk. He is 34 years old. He is a historian by education, a graduate of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and in 2018-2019 he studied at Stanford University under The Ukrainian Emerging Leaders Program.

In 2014, Mr. Prymachenko co-founded Prometheus, an online course platform that provides access to education for the general public. He is also the founder of the student portal “Catch the Moment!”, which collects information about the best universities in Ukraine.
