Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk has agreed to leave Chelsea on loan before the summer transfer window closes. The London club believes the move will help the 25-year-old regain his form after 20 months without competitive football.

This was reported by BBC Sport.

Mudryk agreed to the loan during meetings with Chelsea representatives held at the end of the team’s pre-season tour of Asia. The Ukrainian’s new club is expected to be determined before the transfer window closes on 1 September.

French club Strasbourg, which is part of the BlueCo group alongside Chelsea, is reportedly among the possible destinations. However, Mudryk would prefer to remain in England and join another Premier League club.

Clubs from other major European leagues, including several Italian sides, are also interested in the Ukrainian winger. No final agreement has yet been reached on his next team.

Mudryk returned to the pitch on 5 August in Chelsea’s pre-season match against Juventus. It was his first appearance for the London club following a lengthy suspension.

The Ukrainian has played for Chelsea since January 2023. His contract with the club runs until the summer of 2031.
