Canada is providing 92 million hryvnia to strengthen Ukraine’s cybersecurity within the framework of the Tallinn Mechanism. The funds will be used to protect critical infrastructure, purchase equipment, and create systems to counter cyber threats.
This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The Tallinn Mechanism is an international initiative that coordinates assistance from 12 countries in strengthening cyber resilience. The 92 million hryvnia from Canada will be used to strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure, counter cyber threats, purchase equipment, and create systems for detecting and preventing attacks.
Canadian partners have already selected six projects for funding. Among them are:
- State Judicial Administration of Ukraine;
- Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant;
- State Border Service of Ukraine.
“Thanks to the support of our partners within the Tallinn Mechanism, we will be able to counter cyber threats more effectively so that the digital state can function smoothly and Ukrainians can use online services under any conditions,” the Ministry of Digital Transformation said.
