An event was held between Ukraine and Belarus to return civilians, during which 114 citizens, including Ukrainians, who were held in the Republic of Belarus, were handed over to Ukraine. This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

The return was made possible by prior agreements and negotiations with the Belarusian side, at the request and with the assistance of American partners, as well as through the coordination of the headquarters. Among the released Ukrainians are civilians detained in Belarus and accused of working for the Ukrainian special services. The youngest of them is 25 years old. His wife was returned during the previous release.
In addition, Belarusian citizens imprisoned for political reasons and sentenced to long terms of imprisonment were handed over to Ukraine. Among them are well-known Belarusian public and political figures, including Maria Kolesnikova, Viktor Babariko, journalist Marina Zolotova and others. After receiving the necessary medical care, the released Belarusian citizens will be transported to Poland and Lithuania, if they so wish.
