On the night of September 24, another Russian attack damaged the building of Kyiv City Maternity Hospital No. 2. Patients and medical staff were not injured because they were in a shelter during the strike.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Health Department.
Medical staff continued treating patients in the shelter.
“At 2:05 a.m., at the height of the attack, a baby boy was born in a Kyiv maternity hospital. Even on such a terrible night, life goes on. Our medical staff remain with patients under any circumstances and do everything possible to ensure that care is provided on time,” department director Tetiana Mostepan said.
Windows and doors from the first to the fifth floors on the parking side of the maternity hospital were damaged. The laundry and boiler room facilities were also damaged.
Kyiv City Maternity Hospital No. 2 continues to operate and provide medical care today.
As a reminder, on the night of September 24, two people were killed in a Russian attack on Kyiv, while eight others were injured. Residential, administrative and non-residential buildings, vehicles and medical facilities were damaged in several districts of the capital.
