It is now the 1,266th day of the large-scale armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine. From August 11 to 12, there were 168 combat engagements on the front line. In the Pokrovsk sector, 48 battles took place; in the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy launched 24 attacks; in the Lyman sector, 20 assaults were repelled.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy carried out 74 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, dropping a total of 138 guided bombs. In addition, it conducted 5,299 shelling attacks, including 105 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 4,980 kamikaze drones.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes on the areas of:
- Kaliivka, Sumy region;
- Novoandriivka, Stepnohirsk, Hryhorivka in Zaporizhzhia region;
- Prydniprovske, Antonivka in Kherson region.
Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk sectors
In the Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk sectors, 13 combat clashes occurred over the past day. The enemy carried out 11 airstrikes, dropping a total of 23 guided aerial bombs, and launched 298 artillery strikes, including 26 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Southern-Slobozhanske, Kupiansk, Lyman and Siversk sectors
In the Southern-Slobozhanske sector, there were six clashes in the areas of Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, and Dvorichanske.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched nine attacks over the past day. The Defence Forces repelled assaults near Stepova Novoselivka, Kindrashivka, Kupiansk, Zahryzove, and Bohuslavka.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 20 times, attempting to advance near Ridkodub, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Myrne, Serebrianka, as well as towards Druzholiubivka, Serednie, Shandryholove, and Yampil.
In the Siversk sector, the enemy carried out eight attacks on Ukrainian positions near Hryhorivka, Vyiimka, and towards Siversk.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, five combat engagements were recorded near Stupochky, Stepanivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy launched eight attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Bila Hora, and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 48 offensive actions in the areas of Poltavka, Popiv Yar, Mayak, Dorozhnye, Nykanorivka, Kucheriv Yar, Nove Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Novoeconomichne, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Promin, Udachne, Lysivka, Zvirove, Orikhove, Dachne.
Novopavlivka, Prydniprovske, Orikhiv and other sectors
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Defence Forces repelled 24 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Vilne Pole, Maliivka, Zelenyi Hai, Voskresenka, Myrne, and towards Ivanivka and Novoivanivka.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled an enemy attack near Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy carried out two assaults near Kamianske and towards Novodanilivka.
Over the past day in the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy made seven unsuccessful attempts to advance towards Ukrainian defensive fortifications.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive group formation have been detected.
