Since the start of the day, Russia has already launched at least 800 drones at Ukraine, and the attack is ongoing. Russian UAV strikes have been recorded in 19 regions.

This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Throughout the day, Russian troops launched waves of kamikaze drones across various regions of Ukraine, particularly in regions bordering NATO countries. Strikes have been recorded in Zakarpattia, Lviv, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions.

As of now, dozens of people are known to have been wounded, including children. Six people have been killed.

Zelenskyy noted that Russia’s goal is to overload Ukraine’s air defense systems. According to Ukrainian intelligence, missile strikes on Ukraine are also possible following the waves of drones.

According to the president, the Russian attack is no coincidence and coincided with President Donald Trump’s visit to China.

“The President of the United States has arrived in China on a visit—a visit from which many have high expectations. At this difficult geopolitical moment, Russia is clearly trying to spoil the general political atmosphere and draw attention to its evil—at the expense of Ukrainian lives and Ukrainian infrastructure,” the statement reads.

Zelenskyy urged international partners not to remain silent about Russian attacks and to step up pressure on Russia. He also asked Ukrainians to respond to air raid sirens.
