In the Russian city of Tuapse, a fire broke out again at an oil refinery following a drone attack. Russian authorities say there were no casualties.
This was reported by the оперативный штаб of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. According to the statement, the fire was caused by falling drone debris.
The report says that 122 personnel and 39 units of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.
Tuapse mayor Sergei Boyko said on social media that a temporary accommodation center has been opened in one of the city’s schools. It was not specified who might need it.
Ukrainian drones had previously struck the oil refinery and a marine oil terminal in Tuapse on the nights of April 16 and April 20. Large-scale fires broke out, and a so-called “oil rain” was reported in the city and surrounding areas. A significant amount of oil and petroleum products entered the Tuapse River and the Black Sea.
Russian authorities said the fire after the April 20 attack was extinguished only on April 24.
