Search and rescue operations at the site of the Russian strike in Ternopil continued throughout the night. As of the morning of November 20, the information on the dead and injured has not changed.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
As a result of the strike on Ternopil on November 19, 26 people were killed, including three children. Ninety-three people were injured, including 18 children. Forty-six people were rescued.
During the night, rescuers cleared more than 700 square meters of debris and removed 230 cubic meters of destroyed structures. The search for people whose whereabouts are still unknown continues.
“The work is complicated by the high fragmentation of structures, large-scale destruction, and the need to work exclusively by hand in a number of areas,” the State Emergency Service said.
Forces and resources from nine regions of Ukraine are involved in the search and rescue operation — a total of more than 230 rescuers and 50 pieces of equipment.
