The President stated that he had discussed the results of the meetings in the U.S. in detail with his team.

“It is telling that while our negotiators were reporting, Russia launched a new wave of Shahed drones against Ukraine,” Zelenskyy noted.

The team reported on the key points, opportunities, and challenges discussed in Florida. Zelenskyy emphasized that the most important task is to work out security guarantees in a way that brings us closer to ending the war, as security is the key to peace.

He noted that the geopolitical situation has become more complicated due to the war against Iran, which bolsters Russia’s confidence. At the same time, the fundamental circumstances have not changed: Russia continues the war and destabilization in Europe, supports the Iranian regime with intelligence data, and is preparing for new conflicts in the coming years.

“This threat of constant war in various regions must be stopped. And this can only be done by everyone together: America, Europe, and other global actors. Meetings at the leadership level are needed to truly resolve everything,” the statement reads.

Zelenskyy instructed his team to work as actively as possible with partners to ensure that diplomacy is substantive and that humanitarian issues, including prisoner exchanges, are resolved.
