Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted a post on the official page of the X network emphasizing Ukraine’s desire for peace, thanking Trump for the Javelins, and assuring him of his readiness to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible.
The post in X was published on March 4 at 17:37.
“None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring a lasting peace closer. No one wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I are ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump to achieve a lasting peace,” the statement said.
The text says that Ukraine is ready to work quickly to end the war, and the first steps could be the release of prisoners, an immediate ceasefire in the skies: a ban on missiles, long-range drones, bombing of energy and other civilian infrastructure – and an immediate truce at sea if Russia does the same.
“We really appreciate how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember that turning point when President Trump gave Ukraine the Javelinas. We are grateful for that,” the text reads.
As for the minerals and security agreement, “Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time and in any convenient format. This agreement is seen as a step towards strengthening security and reliable guarantees, and there is hope that it will work effectively.”
“Our meeting in Washington, at the White House, on Friday did not go as planned. It is a shame that it happened. It’s time to make things right. We would like our future cooperation and communication to be constructive,” the statement reads.
