President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the situation on the battlefield remains under control, particularly in the Pokrovsk, Kupiansk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, as well as along the borders of Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
“We are holding the situation, and I’m grateful to each of our units for their resilience. We are preparing certain steps on the front and responding to every Russian strike,” the president said.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine continues to strengthen its long-range strike capabilities.
“There is progress both in range and in accuracy of our long-distance sanctions against Russia. Practically every day or two, Russian oil refineries are being hit — and this brings Russia back to reality,” he noted.
The president highlighted the achievements of the 13th Operational Brigade of the National Guard, the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, the 127th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, as well as units of the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and the Military Law Enforcement Service, who are destroying Russian forces near Kupiansk.
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is working with European partners to expand the PURL program and increase purchases of American weaponry, including air defense systems and long-range strike assets.
“Next week, we will discuss new contributions to the PURL program with our European partners,” the president added.
He also noted that his team is finalizing a new defense and technology agreement with several countries — an accord that has been in preparation for several months.
Zelenskyy thanked Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and the government team for their cooperation with partners on energy and gas supply issues. According to him, there are already tangible results from cooperation with the United States and Slovakia, and Europe must achieve “zero Russian energy resources.”
“The signals from America are clear — they are ready to supply Europe with as much gas and oil as needed to replace Russian imports,” Zelenskyy said, adding that Ukraine has offered the U.S. joint projects in gas infrastructure, nuclear generation, and energy security.
He also instructed Ukrainian diplomats to prepare a meeting of the coalition of the willing in Europe to coordinate a united and powerful position for further pressure on Russia.
“We will give the aggressor nothing and forgive nothing. This Russia is a long-term threat — therefore, we need long-term cooperation in Europe to ensure that people can live safely,” President Zelenskyy concluded.
