‘During the evening and night, terrorists attacked our cities and communities. Missiles, drones and anti-aircraft guns were launched against Odesa, Kharkiv and Kyiv regions. In Kharkiv, we already know about more than 20 victims, including a baby. Residential buildings and infrastructure have been damaged. In the Odesa region, ordinary houses were damaged as a result of the strikes, and one person was killed. My condolences to the family and friends. Nine people were injured. Emergency and rescue operations continue in Zaporizhzhia after yesterday’s attack’, Zelensky said.
The President stressed that it is necessary to act decisively every time Russia tries to destroy the lives of Ukrainians.
‘Ukraine needs strength to reduce the potential of terror and block it. This is the only way to a just peace and an end to the deaths. Air defence systems, long-range weapons, new military aid packages and sanctions against the aggressor are the answer we need not only in words but also in actions’, Zelensky stressed.
