President Volodymyr Zelensky did not rule out that he may not travel to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum in Davos due to the crisis situation in Ukraine’s energy sector caused by massive Russian attacks.

The Ukrainian president made this statement during an online conversation with journalists, according to European Pravda.

According to Zelensky, he is currently considering how to improve the electricity situation. In particular, he held consultations with the energy headquarters.

‘This is the top priority right now. Of course, I choose Ukraine in this case, not the economic forum,’ he said.

At the same time, as the president noted, ‘everything can change at any moment.’

“Because it is very important for me to end this war. And the “prosperity plan” and security guarantees are very important documents. There is one last mile to go to complete the work on them. If the documents are ready, we will have a meeting and a trip. If there are energy packages or decisions on additional air defence, I will definitely go,‘ he said.

According to Zelensky, he now has a ’challenge in Ukraine”.

‘Although signals from the Ukrainian team in Davos indicate that they have almost finished the document on Ukraine’s recovery. We’ll see. For now, I’m staying put,’ he concluded.
