The European Athletics Federation has announced the nominees for the title of the continent’s best female athlete of 2025. Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh is among the nominees. The winner will be announced on October 25.

Yaroslava Mahuchikh won bronze at the World Championships, silver at the Diamond League, and gold at the European Indoor Championships this season.
In addition to Mahuchikh, nine other athletes are contenders for the award:
- Nadia Battocletti (Italy);
- Femke Bol (Netherlands);
- Georgia Hunter-Bell (Great Britain);
- Ditaji Kambundji (Switzerland);
- Kate O’Connor (Ireland);
- Maria Perez (Spain);
- Jessica Schilder (Netherlands);
- Tina Šutej (Slovenia);
- Yorinde van Klinken (Netherlands).
Let us remind you that Maguchikh became the best track and field athlete in Europe in 2024. In the final vote, she beat Femke Bol of the Netherlands and Kiley Hodgkinson of Great Britain.
