President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced new long-range strikes on Russian territory and published a video showing the results of the attacks. According to him, Ukrainian forces hit Russian aircraft, ships, air defense systems and oil industry facilities.
In his post, Zelenskyy described the attacks as “long-range sanctions” and said that some operations were still ongoing, which is why not all results were shown in the released video.
According to the president, the targets hit included a Beriev Be-200 amphibious aircraft, a Ka-27 helicopter, a cargo ship carrying ammunition, a Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system, a Tor air defense missile system, and a Redut-2US communications complex.
In addition, Ukrainian forces targeted Russian drones, oil infrastructure facilities and ships.
“The distances are nearly 1,000 kilometers from the line of combat contact,” Zelenskyy stressed.
The president said these strikes were “completely justified responses” to Russia’s actions and added that Ukraine would continue increasing both the range and the number of long-range strike operations.
Zelenskyy also thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine and Ukrainian intelligence agencies “for their precision.”
