        Zelenskyy awards Starmer the Order of Freedom

        On July 16, Keir Starmer is in Kyiv on his final visit as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Starmer the Order of Freedom, and before that they jointly honored the memory of fallen Ukrainian soldiers.

        This was announced in Decree No. 610/2026 and in a Telegram post by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

        Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Keir Starmer walked along the Wall of Remembrance and paid tribute to the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

        “I thank Keir and the United Kingdom for their unwavering respect for our warriors, for all those who gave the most precious thing for the sake of defending Ukraine and all of Europe,” Zelenskyy wrote.

        The president stressed the importance of preserving the memory of the heroism of all those who defended Ukraine against Russian aggression.

        Starmer was awarded the Order of Freedom for his outstanding personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian-British relations and for supporting Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity.
