The Women’s Tennis Association has updated its world rankings following the conclusion of Wimbledon. Elina Svitolina retained her place in the top 10, while Marta Kostyuk rose to a career-high No. 11 after reaching the tournament’s semifinals.

In the rankings published on 13 July, Svitolina is 10th with 4,351 points after dropping two places. Kostyuk moved from 13th to 11th and now has 3,926 points. The two highest-ranked Ukrainian players are therefore separated by just one position.

Kostyuk earned 780 ranking points for her Wimbledon campaign. The Ukrainian reached the semifinals of the British tournament for the first time and advanced to that stage at a Grand Slam for the second consecutive time.

In the quarterfinals, Kostyuk defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini 6-3, 6-2. The result allowed her to equal the best Wimbledon performance by a Ukrainian woman. Svitolina had previously reached the tournament’s semifinals twice.

Kostyuk lost 4-6, 4-6 in the semifinal to eventual champion Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic. Following her Wimbledon title, Noskova climbed five places to become the world No. 7. In the final, she defeated compatriot Karolina Muchova, who rose from ninth to sixth after reaching the title match.

Svitolina’s Wimbledon campaign ended in the first round. She lost 5-7, 2-6 to fellow Ukrainian Daria Snigur and consequently dropped two places in the rankings. Snigur climbed 21 positions to No. 56 after reaching the third round.

Aryna Sabalenka remains at the top of the rankings with 8,550 points. Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina is second, while American Jessica Pegula is third. Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva complete the top five.
