Oleksandr Usyk knocked out Daniel Dubois and became the undisputed world heavyweight champion for the second time.
The fight started actively — both boxers quickly got into the rhythm, exchanging jabs. Usyk landed two accurate punches to his opponent’s jaw in the first round.
In the second round, the Brit landed a straight punch, but the Ukrainian responded with a series of body shots and again scored with a powerful blow to Dubois’ head.
The third round was an even exchange of attacks, although Usyk again landed successful blows to the jaw.
In the fourth round, the boxers were more cautious, exchanging jabs, but the Ukrainian managed to land several accurate attacks.
In the fifth round, Usyk found his rhythm and began to break down the Briton’s defence. Dubois increasingly missed clean punches, losing speed and confidence. The result was two knockdowns and a victory by knockout for the Ukrainian.
This fight became the highest-grossing in the careers of both boxers. The total prize fund reached over $200 million. Usyk will receive 65% of the amount — approximately $132.28 million, while Dubois will receive 35% — about $71.22 million.
