Ukraine’s Defence Minister Rustem Umerov will lead the Ukrainian delegation at negotiations set to take place in Istanbul on Monday. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on social media following briefings from the country’s military and diplomatic leadership.

According to the President, Ukraine will insist on three key conditions: a full and unconditional ceasefire, the release of all prisoners of war, and the return of abducted children.

Zelensky also noted that preparations have begun for a high-level summit, stating that only national leaders can resolve the most critical issues.
