A Ukrainian sniper has set a new world record for target range, killing two Russian soldiers from a distance of 4,000 meters.

This was reported by military journalist Yuriy Butusov, who published a video of the sniper’s work.

According to him, the bullet passed through the window behind which the occupiers were located, and the aiming was carried out “with the help of artificial intelligence” under the correction of a UAV complex with a 14.5 mm Alligator rifle. The record shot took place on August 14, 2025.

The previous world record also belonged to a Ukrainian: in November 2023, 58-year-old SBU sniper Vyacheslav Kovalsky destroyed an enemy at a distance of 3,800 meters in the Kherson region with a Ukrainian-made multi-caliber sniper rifle “Horizon’s Lord.”
