Ukraine, together with its partners, is working on five ceasefire formats — from a full and unconditional truce to separate arrangements concerning the Black Sea and energy. The Foreign Ministry stresses that Russia’s consent is required to implement any of them.
This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi at a briefing, according to RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, these are five areas previously mentioned by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. The Foreign Ministry considers these proposals realistic and mutually beneficial.
The first option is a full and unconditional ceasefire. Ukraine agreed to it back in March 2025, and that consent remains in force. Kyiv is awaiting a corresponding decision from Russia.
The second format concerns the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. Ukraine is working on the relevant proposals together with Turkey and Egypt.
The third track provides for ensuring food security and protecting exports through the Black Sea with India’s active involvement.
The fourth format is also linked to India and concerns ending strikes on energy infrastructure.
The fifth track is an energy ceasefire involving the United States. According to the Foreign Ministry, this issue was discussed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump.
“It takes two to tango, so the Russian side’s consent to these modalities is needed. In our view, the proposals are mutually beneficial and realistic,” Tykhyi said.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson also urged against shifting responsibility for the continuation of the war from Moscow to Kyiv and called such claims manipulation.
Earlier, “Glavnoe in Ukraine” reported that India proposed a three-part ceasefire plan to Ukraine and Russia, which provides for an end to attacks on energy and other infrastructure, ensuring the export of grain and energy resources through the Black Sea, and stopping strikes on commercial shipping.
