President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has emphasized the need to improve the quality of mobilization in Ukraine, although the number of recruits, in his opinion, is sufficient.
He said this in an interview with Italian journalist Cecilia Sali for Il Foglio newspaper.
Zelensky noted that a significant number of people aged 25 and older are being mobilized into the Armed Forces, and that servicemen have the opportunity to undergo rotations and take vacations. However, he emphasized that not only quantity but also quality is important.
The President also mentioned that there is a demand for demobilization among the population, but it is impossible due to the current legislation.
“If tomorrow half of the army simply goes home, then we should have surrendered on the first day. If tomorrow half of the army simply goes home, Putin will simply kill us all. Absolutely all of us,” the president said.
