Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the country wants to receive at least $1 billion per month from its allies for the purchase of American weapons.

He announced this during a joint press conference in Kyiv with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

“Norway has joined the PURL program, which allows it to purchase weapons from the US and contribute at least $1 billion to this program every month,” Zelensky said.

He also added that he discussed with the head of the Norwegian government the production of drones, joint opportunities, and investments that could help force Russia to end the war.

Zelensky also noted that Norway could help provide security guarantees for Ukraine by providing air defense systems and supporting maritime security.
