Ukraine and the UK have signed an agreement on the production of Ukrainian interceptor drones. The first thousand devices will be manufactured in the UK and transferred to protect Ukrainian cities from Russian attacks.

This was announced by Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.

The agreement was signed with British Defense Minister John Healey as a continuation of the agreements between the President of Ukraine and the British Prime Minister on the development of industrial cooperation. Initially, it is planned to manufacture the first thousand drones, all of which will be delivered to Ukraine.

“Interceptor drones have already proven themselves against Russia’s ‘suicide’ terror. We will continue to scale up these projects, attract investment, and improve technology to protect Ukrainian cities and civilians from Russian air attacks as effectively as possible,” Shmyhal wrote.

During their meeting in London, Denys Shmyhal and John Healey discussed the practical implementation of the agreement, summarized the results of the Ramstein format meeting, and coordinated issues for the next meeting, which will take place in October.
