On the night of September 3, unknown individuals threw incendiary devices onto a construction site near a complex in Munich where several defense companies are located. One of the devices caught fire near construction containers in front of the Rohde & Schwarz headquarters, while another failed to ignite.

        This was reported by BR24.

According to police, at around midnight a witness reported that incendiary devices had been thrown from a car in the Berg am Laim district. One of them caught fire near construction containers. Patrol officers who arrived at the scene extinguished the fire. No one was injured in the incident.

Another incendiary device that had failed to ignite was found at the scene. It was rendered safe by specialists from the State Criminal Police Office, and the surrounding area was cordoned off.

During the search, police detained two suspects at a petrol station near Innsbrucker Ring. According to the LKA, they are a 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, both Bulgarian citizens.

Police believe the attack may not have been directed solely at Rohde & Schwarz, since several defense companies are located in the complex. For this reason, investigators are considering a possible political motive.

Rohde & Schwarz operates, among other things, in the field of security and communications technologies for government agencies and the military.
