Starting September 1, 2025, nearly 2.3 million children will attend in-person classes in Ukrainian schools.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

In total, 3.5 million schoolchildren will study this year, with the number of distance learners decreasing by 103,000 compared to last year.

Svyrydenko stressed that the government plans to open 203 new shelters in educational institutions by the end of 2026.

“To make knowledge accessible everywhere, we are expanding the Mriya system, which covers students and teachers in 2,000 schools, and 406 digital learning centers have been opened in communities affected by the war,” Svyrydenko added.

Mriya is a state-run educational ecosystem for students, parents, and teachers. According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, it allows for the automation of processes in schools, reduces bureaucracy, increases security, and ensures more effective communication with the state through integration with artificial intelligence.
