Today, on October, 23rd, Kharkiv city council and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have concluded credit and grant agreements for support of critical infrastructure of the city.

The agreements provide 25 million euros of credit resources and 10 million euros of non-refundable grant to support the liquidity of the city budget, said Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov.

“These funds are an investment in the future of Kharkiv, in the fact that even under the burden of war, life here will continue. We will direct them to support the work of specialized enterprises, which provide the supply of public utilities to the homes of Kharkiv citizens, and, most importantly, – to complete the construction of decentralized system of heat, water and energy supply. As a result, this will significantly reduce the vulnerability of critical infrastructure to enemy attacks, make the city more energy-protected and restrain the increase in tariffs for the population”, – said the mayor.
