Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi worked with combat units carrying out missions in Zaporizhzhia region. He reported this in a post on Telegram.
According to Syrskyi, this concerns the Orikhiv direction and one of the hottest sectors – the Huliaipole direction.
The commander-in-chief noted that the enemy is disregarding losses and trying to advance, increasing pressure on Ukrainian defensive positions.
Syrskyi heard reports from commanders of separate brigades, assault regiments, as well as unmanned systems units holding designated lines.
During his work in the sector, they discussed the supply of various types of weapons and ammunition to reinforce specific defense lines.
The commander-in-chief said he had issued the necessary orders. Further steps aimed at improving the operational situation were also adjusted.
Syrskyi separately highlighted the work of the joint fire coordination center in this sector.
According to him, the center is working in a coordinated and effective manner and is an example of how a team made up of different structures and agencies of the Defense Forces can significantly improve the effectiveness of Ukrainian troops’ fire operations.
Syrskyi said the work of this center had effectively paralyzed the enemy’s logistics in southern Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
