Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina advanced to the third round of the 2026 French Open Roland Garros. In the Round of 64 match, the Ukrainian defeated Spain’s Kaitlin Quevedo in straight sets.

After receiving the seventh seed, Svitolina defeated the world No. 126 from Spain with a score of 6:0, 6:4.
The Ukrainian tennis player won the first set in 28 minutes without conceding a single game to her opponent.
In the second set, Quevedo led for some time at 4:3, but Svitolina managed to seize the initiative and finished the match with a streak of three consecutive games won.
For Elina Svitolina, this is another appearance in the Round of 16 at Roland Garros. The Ukrainian has consistently reached this stage of the tournament since 2015, except for the 2022 season, when she did not participate in the competition.
In the third round, Svitolina will face German tennis player Tamara Korpatsch, who is ranked No. 95 in the WTA rankings.
