President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced preparations for a large-scale Drone Deal between Ukraine and the United Kingdom. The agreement may provide for the construction of a large factory, joint production of drones and missiles, an exchange of technologies, and the development of a European anti-ballistic system.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on July 27.

“I had a very good phone conversation with the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I hope we will have a productive bilateral meeting during which we will discuss a wide range of issues,” the statement said.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine and the United Kingdom must continue their joint work and open a new page in relations between the two countries. One of the main topics of the upcoming talks should be a large-scale Drone Deal.

“I want to build a large factory in the United Kingdom based on new technologies and share them with our partners,” the president said.

He stressed that Ukraine is ready to share its experience and technologies with the United Kingdom and expects the same approach from its British partners. According to Zelenskyy, the new agreement should strengthen both countries, while cooperation should cover funding, technologies and training.

The president noted that Ukraine has its own missiles but is also interested in producing British Storm Shadow missiles or similar systems. At the same time, he said, the United Kingdom wants to obtain Ukrainian drone technologies, including sea drones.

The president separately mentioned the training of Ukrainian servicemen, in which the United Kingdom has already assisted Ukraine. He said that Kyiv was ready to share its own experience with the British side.

Zelenskyy named the creation of a European anti-ballistic system as another area of cooperation. According to him, the United Kingdom does not have sufficient anti-ballistic air defence, so Ukraine and its British partners can work on this together.

“We need to build our European anti-ballistic system. We can work together,” the president stressed.
