The situation in eastern Ukraine remains tense: Russian troops are trying to build on their success in the Serebrianskyi Forest area, according to analysts from the DeepState community. According to their data, the enemy is actively using small infantry groups that infiltrate deep into the defences, exert constant pressure and try to gain a foothold in new areas.
‘There are cases when the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces exist only in reports, and then the enemy suddenly finds itself in the rear at the positions of drone operators or radio-electronic intelligence specialists, etc.,’ DeepState said in a post.
According to observers, the situation is particularly difficult in the forest area on the northern bank of the Siverskyi Donets River, from Hryhorivka to Dronivka. There is a risk of roads being cut off, which could have negative consequences for Ukrainian positions. DeepState warns that the timely withdrawal of units is critical to avoid encirclement.
Russian forces are seeking to completely dislodge Ukrainian troops from the Serebrianskyi Forest, effectively ending years of fighting for this area. At the same time, they are increasing pressure in the direction of Yampil and have been spotted near the Yampil-Zarichne road. In Zarichne itself, the situation is unfavourable for Ukrainian defenders: the enemy is gradually consolidating its positions within the settlement, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to dislodge them.
