Despite Russia’s announcement of a so-called unilateral ceasefire for the period from 8 to 10 May, data indicates that it was completely ignored. This was reported by the monitoring Telegram channel DeepState.
According to the channel’s calculations, during the three days in question, Russian troops carried out 193, 196 and 161 assaults, respectively. This is even higher than the average daily level of attacks in April, which was 155 combat operations per day. DeepState emphasises that these figures not only refute claims of a ceasefire, but also indicate that it is being used as a cover to increase offensive pressure.
The authors of the post also critically assess the trust of some Western partners, particularly the United States, in Russia’s statements, considering this a sign of intelligence problems and a misperception of the scale of the current war in Europe.
According to DeepState, there was no ceasefire in almost any section of the front, with only a few exceptions.
