On the afternoon of 27 June, Russian troops launched another strike on the Dnipropetrovsk region. Explosions were heard in the city of Samara.
This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, who urged residents to remain in shelters until the all-clear was given.
‘Explosions were heard in the city of Samar. Details will follow. Do not leave safe places,’ he wrote on social media.
Prior to that, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a high-speed air target moving in the direction of Dnipro. An air raid alert was declared in a number of eastern and southern regions of Ukraine.
On 24 June, the Russians launched missile strikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region, targeting Dnipro and Samar. According to the latest data, 21 people were killed in the attack in Dnipro. Two more people were killed in the strike on the city of Samar.
