Russian forces launched a missile strike on Bilopillia in Sumy Oblast on Monday morning. Two missiles hit buildings of educational institutions, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
He said the buildings sustained significant damage.
There were no children inside the educational facilities at the time of the strike. However, staff members were present at the site.
People were injured in the attack. An employee of one of the institutions was hospitalized and is receiving the necessary medical care.
Nearby houses were also damaged by the blast wave.
The full consequences of the Russian strike are still being assessed.
