Over the past day, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes across multiple Ukrainian regions, using artillery, rockets, various types of drones, and aerial bombs, resulting in civilian casualties and extensive destruction.
In Kyiv Oblast on the morning of July 5, Russian drones attacked Boryspil district. Seven private homes, a car, an educational facility, a cultural center, and three shops were damaged. In Brovary district, a car was also damaged. No casualties were reported.
In Chernihiv Oblast on July 4, a postal worker born in 1975 was injured by shrapnel from an explosive dropped by a drone in a border village of Novhorod-Siverskyi district. Russia also struck the Semenivska and Novhorod-Siverska communities, destroying and damaging residential buildings, an administrative building, outbuildings, and a vehicle. Police have opened war crimes investigations.
In Kherson Oblast, Russian forces launched combined attacks with artillery, mortars, and drones. Authorities recorded damage to 44 sites, including private and apartment buildings, a school, a library, a shop, a gas station, cars, garages, and a gas pipeline. In Antonivka, a 57-year-old man was killed by an explosive dropped from a drone. In Kherson city, at least nine people were injured, including elderly women with severe injuries, children, and other civilians. Across multiple settlements, residents sustained shrapnel wounds and traumatic brain injuries from drone attacks.
In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Russian forces conducted 469 strikes on 11 settlements. In Vasylivskyi district, an 84-year-old man was killed and another local man was injured in an airstrike. In the village of Hryhorivka, a 10-year-old boy was injured in an airstrike.
In Donetsk Oblast on July 4, police recorded more than 2,500 strikes along the front line and in residential areas across 13 settlements. At least two people were killed, including in Kostiantynivka, which was hit by KAB-250 aerial bombs. Two civilians were injured in Kramatorsk, and another two in Pokrovsk. Residential buildings, a school, and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Russian forces shelled the Nikopol district, including Nikopol itself and the Myrivska, Marhanetska, and Pokrovska communities. An elderly woman and two men were injured. In the evening, another local resident was wounded by an FPV drone. Infrastructure, businesses, residential houses, and outbuildings were damaged. In Dnipro district, three people were injured, while in Synelnykove district homes and vehicles were damaged by air-dropped bombs and drones.
