The Russian drones that attacked Poland were equipped with additional fuel tanks, which increased their flight range.
This was reported by Militarnyi.
Usually, Gerbera drones have only one fuel tank in the tail section. However, the drones, whose fragments were found in Poland, were equipped with another one in the nose section.

The tanks are made of multilayer flexible polymer: they are lightweight, compact when folded, resistant to vibrations, and are often used in drones.
The Russian Ministry of Defense assured that these devices were “unable to fly” to Poland, as their range allegedly does not exceed 700 km. However, it was the additional tanks that enabled them to cross Belarusian territory.
