A woman was killed and three other people were wounded in a Russian strike on the Kyiv region on the night of 18 May. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, on Telegram.
According to him, the tragedy occurred in the Obukhiv district. Among the victims were a 61-year-old man, a 59-year-old woman and a four-year-old child. All of them were hospitalised.
During the attack, a private house was partially destroyed and windows were damaged in a neighbouring high-rise building. A fire also broke out at a feed mill in the Fastiv district.
The Kyiv region police reported that a criminal case had been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of the laws and customs of war — in connection with the Russian shelling. Investigators, bomb disposal experts, rescuers and medics are working at the scene.
