A civilian vessel sailing under the Liberian flag was struck in a Russian attack in the Black Sea. The ship was at anchor and had neither crew nor cargo on board.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported the incident.
According to him, the vessel had already been damaged twice in previous Russian attacks. Smoke was observed on the ship following the latest strike.
The full consequences of the attack are still being assessed.
Kiper said such strikes once again demonstrated Russia’s deliberate disregard for international law and its systematic attempts to disrupt the operation of Ukraine’s maritime corridor.
