On September 16, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on two districts of Sumy. Five people are known to have been injured. One of the wounded later died in hospital.
This was reported by the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Serhii Kryvosheienko.
A 63-year-old man died in hospital after suffering severe shrapnel wounds in a guided aerial bomb strike on Sumy.
The airstrike damaged more than 10 private homes and a preschool facility.
Work to deal with the aftermath of the attack is ongoing.
