        Russia struck Ukrnafta’s production facilities on 23 December: consequences

        During a combined night attack on Ukraine on 23 December, the Russian military struck Ukrnafta’s production facilities. Serious damage to equipment has been reported.

        This was reported by Naftogaz of Ukraine.

        There were no casualties as a result of the shelling, but there is serious damage, the operation of the damaged production facilities has been suspended, and urgent work is ongoing.

        ‘Naftogaz Group specialists are working in an enhanced mode. The restoration of infrastructure after the Russian attacks is ongoing,’ said Serhiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

        On 9 December, Russian strike drones attacked the gas infrastructure facilities of the Naftogaz Group. The enemy targeted critical equipment on which uninterrupted gas supply depends.
