Russia launched over 200 drones into Ukraine overnight

On the night of 21 March, Russia attacked Ukraine with 214 Shahed-type attack drones and various types of imitation drones.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

As of 09.30 a.m., 114 Shahed and other types of attack drones were confirmed to have been shot down in the south, north and centre of the country.

81 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area (without negative consequences).

The Russian attack affected Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy and Kyiv regions.


Odesa region suffered the most, as large-scale fires broke out, a shopping centre and shops burned, and a high-rise building was damaged. The attack also resulted in localised emergency power cuts.
