On the night of June 17, Kyiv was hit by a combo attack from Russian troops — the enemy used missiles and strike drones. The shelling went on in several waves, and the threat lasted until morning. Fourteen people died in the strikes, and at least 15 were injured.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.
The attack affected at least six districts of the capital: Solomyanskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Podilskyi, and Obolonskyi. There were also power outages in various districts of Kyiv.
In particular, in the Solomyanskyi district, two residential buildings were damaged, and a fire broke out in a five-story building. Six victims were hospitalized. In another high-rise building, the structure was damaged, and rescuers are working at the site.
In the Darnytskyi district, debris hit a kindergarten and non-residential buildings, and in the Dniprovskyi district, it hit an industrial area. In the Obolonskyi and Podilskyi districts, debris fell on open ground. In addition, a man with burns was hospitalized in the Sviatoshynskyi district.
As of this morning, the total number of injured has risen to 15. Among the dead is a US citizen.
