President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered Ukrainian intelligence and the army to work ahead of time on facilities that Russia uses to scale up the war.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening video address on June 24.
“I ordered our intelligence and army to work ahead of time on those facilities that the Russians use to scale up the war,” the president said.
According to intelligence, the Russian leadership is now moving more air defense systems near Moscow, to Valdai and near the “Putin bridge” across the Kerch Strait. This is being done at the expense of air defense on other directions.
It is known that Russia has pulled hundreds of launchers for S-400, S-500 and Pantsir systems to the Moscow region alone.
“Almost 90 air defense launchers have been pulled to Valdai from other regions of Russia, and a special air defense division is still being formed there to protect the calm of the Russian leadership. For comparison: on all other directions in Russia, in their other cities, there are now a few launchers each. Such are the priorities. They are protecting their power — they are protecting the source of this war,” Zelenskyy said.
There is already a fuel shortage in more than 60 Russian regions, and an increase in gasoline and diesel prices is also being recorded.
Zelenskyy said that Russian special services are already even proposing to postpone or completely cancel the “ritual of electing” United Russia to the State Duma.
“The next imitation of elections was planned for September, and now we see from intelligence reports that Russia is not confident about the processes in September. There are many difficulties, and only because Putin refuses to end his war and does not hear our proposals for a meeting, proposals for real negotiations and a decent peace,” Zelensky said.
