        Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskander and S-300 missiles and over 100 drones

        On the night of January 25, Russia launched a large-scale aerial attack on Ukraine using drones and missiles. Air defense forces destroyed and suppressed most of the enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.

        According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, starting at 18:30 on January 24, the enemy attacked with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles or S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles from Russia’s Bryansk region, as well as 102 attack UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Shatalovo, and the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region. About 70 of them were Shahed-type drones.

        The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

        As of 08:30, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 87 enemy UAVs in the north, south, central and eastern parts of the country. Impacts of 15 attack drones were recorded at 10 locations, as well as the fall of debris from downed UAVs at one location. Information regarding two enemy missiles is being clarified.

        The Air Force reported that the attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace, and urged citizens to follow safety rules.
